NOTES:  In the 1980's Italian winemakers found that they could enhance the overall appeal of their Cabernet Sauvignon by using Sangiovese as a blending variety. These wines came to be known as "Super Tuscans" and today are highly sought after. Our 2002 Viviano features Cabernet Sauvignon from the Newsom family vineyard on the Texas High Plains and the Sangiovese from our own Estate Vineyard. Viviano is now identified as a Super Tuscan Style Red on our label.

This truly unique wine applies the "terroir" of Texas to noble grape varieties of France and Italy.

We recommend the Viviano be served with rich, full flavored foods, such as lamb, pastas with red or cheese sauces, fine cuts of aged beef, or wild game dishes. For maximum flavor and bouquet we recommend that you decant this wine 1/2 hour prior to serving.
