NOTES: This Texas
Rhone style red is a
blend of five Rhone
varieties grown in our
Texas vineyards: 39%
Carignane , 27% Syrah,
17% Mourvedre, 12%
Grenache and 5% Viognier.
This is a delicate wine
with a spicy perfumed
aromatics with
underlying expression of
cassis in mouth flavor.
Tannins are soft,
exhibiting a light to
medium body. This Rhone
Style Red is a very nice
example of the influence
that our Texas soil has
on the character of a
wine.
Llano's Signature Rhone
exhibits the spicy
flavor of our region,
making it a particularly
fine wine to serve with
food. Try with chicken
tacos, roasted sweet
peppers and cumin rice,
or Santa Fe-styled
enchiladas with chili.
This wine is quite
flavorful if served at
room temperature, but
don't hesitate to enjoy
the fruitier
characteristics it
exudes when chilled.
