NOTES:  The Llano Estacado 2004 Sauvignon Blanc is made exclusively from grapes grown on the Martin's Vineyards located on the Texas High Plains. At an altitude of 3,400 feet above sea level, the Texas High Plains is known for it's hot summer days and cool nights. Sauvignon Blanc thrives in this intense sunshine on the Texas High Plains. As a result of the cool nights the grapes retain the acid balance necessary to produce a balanced wine of intense character. Our Sauvignon Blanc is crisp, with nice fruit; yet light bodied and dry. This wine hints of figs, green olives, and lemon, balanced in the mouth with a clean, crisp acidity.

This dry wine complements Oriental foods, chicken dishes, cold soups or pasta dishes. It pairs especially well with Italian herbs and spices such as oregano, rosemary and anise seed... try a bottle tonight.
