NOTES: This Texas Rhone style red is a blend of five Rhone varieties grown in our Texas vineyards: 13% Carignane , 38.7% Syrah, 22% Mourvedre, 13.7% Grenache and 12.6% Viognier. This is a delicate wine with a spicy perfumed aromatics, "berry fruit" mouth flavors complimented by a medium tannin structure. This Rhone Style Red is a very nice example of the influence that our Texas soil and hotter growing environment has on the character of a wine.
This wine exhibits the spicy flavor of our Southwest region, making it a particularly fine wine to serve with our regional foods. Try with chicken tacos, roasted sweet peppers and cumin rice, or Santa Fe-styled enchiladas with chili. This wine is quite flavorful if served at room temperature, but don't hesitate to enjoy the fruitier characteristics it exudes when chilled.
