Llano Estacado Pinot Grigio has become so popular that we have outgrown our ability to provide enough Texas grapes. The 2007 Pinot Grigio is made primarily from grapes grown in the California Central Coast. We use a strain of Epernay yeast to ferment our juice. This special strain of yeast accentuates the fruity characteristics of the aroma similar to those wines produced in Italy. There is no oak used in the production of this wine to emphasize the aromas characteristic of the variety.
This is a fragrant wine with fruit aromas characteristic of melon, lemon-grapefruit. This wine balances nicely on your palate and shows flavors consistent with the aromatics. It is a light, crisp, fruity, yet dry white wine.
We recommend this wine to be served with all types of seafood, salads, and poultry.
